Miscellaneous

If youths can strip through the layers of advertisements to find a message that is conveyed in a negative way, why can't the advertisers keep that in mind and watch the kind of messages that they put in for youths to see. Most advertisements don't even need to be stripped the message is shown easily, which is not a postive view because advertisers need to realize that young kids see advertisements to... and people wonder how kids learn things so fast at a young age because it is blatantly put out for the world to view. How is it that we youths can capture our attention without using any form of sexualization to do so. Sexualizing a non-sex product does not capture our attentiopn in a good way it makes us critisize it. Most sexualization of ads are very offensive to certain minorities because it shows them in a negative way.

Veet Advertisement

The veet ad is using a african-american lady to advertise their product. She is dressed up very pretty with just a shirt on and her legs out. Her legs look shiny and smooth. The code would be male approval because of her position and sleek legs showing. She could be fully clothed still for us to see that her legs are smooth, she could wear shorts, skirt or knickers.

Got Milk

This advertisement is advertising milk. They are using an african-american woman as their model. She is dressed beautifully yet she has a milk mustache which ruins the whole glamorous look. The code is clownish where the female looks pretty but goofy at the same time. This supports the stereotype that females shouldn't be taken seriously, they are just around to look good and be approved by men.

Vegetarian Advertisement

Peta Asia Pacific are advertising peppers for vegetarians yet they have a naked women there. The words spice up your life distract you from the peppers and make you think they are advertising something sexual. The code is irrelevant sexualization of women. They have go vegetarian in a smaller font that most won't even acknowledge.

Nike Advertisement

Nike uses Serena Williams to advertise their logo because she is famous in playing tennis. She is very sweaty and there are many words and small sayings written down beside her. They are starting with small steps workin their way to big steps when you rank number 1. When you read through the words carefully it makes you think the person is being ignorant. Of course when disputing ignorance black people are the first to be comparable to it.
